Is it hand painted UNDER-GLAZED? is it HEAVY?? at this time i have NOT found that mark but have only looked in one of(Kovels new dictionary of marks)my books thus far.my ???'s are for MY investigation,don't really mean much(my ???'s)as a LIGHT peice could be bone china! i'll look some more&see if i can help,in my experiences peices that are marked w/a date ARE NOT from that time period.

China makes alot of repo's these days,not good ones to the trained eye but repos none the less.This pot says 1898-china company,NOT made in china,but still can be a repo(pics of vase are not clear)&can only be told if held in hand! or CLEARER pics of pot/vase.@$2.50 a deal anyway,good for a flower or incense.BUT...Until its I.D.'ed its up in the air!!! happy hunting everyone!

Thanks for the reply. It looks hand painted under glaze and it heavy.
