Lots of history here, it's exciting to be connected to it. You sure have to love dog tags!!
 

Housing development, they bring in crushed rock to make it look pretty.

Awesome dog tag! Mr, oddcoins in the “got old dog tags” thread can tell you if it’s the oldest known Cripple Creek tag. At 1898 there’s a decent chance!

Thanks Squirrel, I have been talking to him on a Facebook page. He is a very nice gentleman and is sending me copies of the Colorado dog tags, to share with my local metal detecting group!! There was a 1895, the town started in 1894, hopefully I'll find one, if they even made them that year.
