Real tough hunting a demolition site in Florida sugar sand without my pin pointer that I accidentally broke two days ago.
Got some odds and ends was hoping for an old coin or two.
The cameo brooch would have been nice shame the front is destroyed the little garter clip has a patent date of December 98.

Nice haul for a day's fun. I broke my pinpointer too, up and down, swinging from the knees until I can replace it.

Yup... Welcome to the club.
What I did was take the back off and remove the circuit board.
Earlier in the day I had electrical tape wrapped around most of the pointer and it stuck in the rubber portion of the button inward and it stayed that way. I was just going to make sure no water got inside and fix the rubber part of the button..... To anyone who may decide to remove the circuit board make sure the button is in the ON position before you do so if that little piece of the inside is sticking up like it is in the off position it gets caught on the way out and breaks your switch

Those Hinds bottles really got around I dig them often.Nice hunt Gator! What did we ever do with out a pin pointer. Swung a lot of fist fills of dirt over a coil.

Exactly... nope not that handful... nope not that handful.... Must be in that tiny little bit you didn't grab yet

Depending on where I hunt, pinpointers are a pain, especially in sand..ask the old timers about pinpointers. ."Back in the 70's we didn't have no stinking pinpointers, you just gotta dig son, dig"...lol

Haha.. Back in the seventy's you had chops and bellbottoms also...

Maybe I should clarify this for everyone when I say sugar sand I'm talking about the lower third of Florida almost the entire state is sand
Tell me about it, I live on the ridge in Polk county.

Nice area though

Very cool finds!!

Thank you master...lol
I like to think I tap into the force here and there

Thats funny.. :))

Nice, personalized, watch fob, GB! .............no pinpointer is like no headphones!

Very nice relics

Thanks guys.. No headphones would stink too

I've found a watch fob with the same shield shape, yet a different inscription. Can't remember what the inscription was without digging it out though. Fobs are cool.

Cool finds, I use a Frisbee when I dig, to keep dirt more contained, one 1/2 I drilled small holes to double as a sand sifter.

Cool idea..that would work good in someone's yard to keep it clean.

I have seen others use towels and Frisbee's, I hunt a lot of lake front sites, kinda combines both hunt areas in one tool.
