Got out for some hunting today and manged this 1902 O Barber half at around 6". I should've tried for better pics and may be able to get a couple better shots of it tomorrow in the daylight. Anyone care to take a stab at what they think it might grade at? Thanks for looking and happy hunting!

Nice Barber half ! haven't bagged one of those yet , I'd guess at "fine" for the grade .

Thanks for the guess and for looking.

Sweet barber half dollar. Congrats!

That is extremely nice for a Barber half. They don't come up that often and when they do, they are usually quite worn. I've found two and they would both grade about VG. Yours looks more like a VF. Way to go!

WOW..That barber half is in grate shape...

Thanks to all for the comments. Much appreciated.

Congrats on that Barber! That thing is in great shape!

Nice find. Still looking for anything Barber.

Thanks!

Lucky dog! Way to go!

Thanks for the comments. I've got the half sitting in an airtite now.

Nice coin in very nice condition.

Looks really nice: as long as you didn't rub it when you found it or scrubbed it later, it should have a fairly decent grade. I scan my coins on a scanner printer, I seem to get better even detail than with a camera. I have 2 Barber halves this year and they both grade only around G-VG: that one is a nice one!

That is in really nice condition for a dug coin. May go VF. Hard to tell from a pic. Those coin guys have all the cool toys :-)

One of these days I want to take some of my nicer coins to a nearby dealer to get some professional opinions of there grades. I would never sell to them, probably I'll hold on to all my coins anyhow, I figure they would, "long term" go up in value. Your Barber is one beautiful coin, I would love to know what a dealer or coin grader would say. I realize you never said you were going to sell it. I have been wondering for a long time now, just how much does PCGS or NGC charge for grading a coin???
Congrats on a great find, I'm so stuck on deer hunting right now I might not be MDing for a couple months, (ha, not true, I'm sure I'll manage to fit it in sometimes)
