Was hunting in the field again today and getting my normal brass and copper rivets, buttons and junk then

got another signal and two wheats in hole. Was expecting Indian head cents but cleaned off first and 1919 wheat so I started on second and I see 1909. My heart skipped a beat lol so I stopped cleaning. When I got home I cleaned with toothpick and its a VDB but don't see the "S" mint mark. Oh well it's my first 1909 wheat and it's still worth a few dollars. No silver today but if it's there I'll get it soon I hope. Good luck everyone.

Here is pic of back with the VDB.

Thanks everyone I was hoping for the s but it's still a rare coin and the first year they were minted. So I'm very happy with it. Good luck everyone.

Well ain't that something.....a Ten Dollar Penny!

Great Find!

Yea I guess if you look at it that way it's worth more than a regular silver dime or quarter. Now I feel better lol.
