Scored this 1911 V nickle for 15 cents today at a coin store. Pretty good deal, yes?

For that price, quite a bargain! :icon_thumright:

I also got this 1887 3 pence for $4, essentially melt price. I think it was also a good deal as it appears to be in very fine condition. It's the first year of the little crown bust to mark Queen Victoria's diamond jubilee. Alot of international silver coins are coming into the store from people liquidating their silver without regard to its numismatic value. The melt price is high so there are also less people buying while the store is desperate to sell. My idea is to buy small silver coins like this for the current inflated melt price but make it back ten fold in numismatic value by scrutinizing the huge inventory now available - there being more silver coins to pick through now than ever.
