Welcome to TNET. Your pic isn't very good, but do know that a 1916-D is a rare date find, but I can't tell you if the D is on your dime and it would be on the rear of the coin.

Please post a pic of the reverse side of the coin. A mint mark other than a "D" is worth only a couple of bucks in that condition. Good luck on finding a "D" mintmark; you'd then be talking in the hundreds of dollars.
