Today during my lunch hour I headed back to my favorite local park to do some detecting. I found three clad dimes, one clad 25c, 1952-S Jefferson nickel and a 1918-S Mercury Dime. The Merc dime is very nice looking! I think the reverse is in a higher grade than the obverse.

This is the same park where just two days ago I pulled out a 1943-S War nickel, 1919-S Merc dime, and a 1919-D Standing Liberty 25c in VF!!

WOOHOO!!!

Wonderful looking dime!
Looks like it was lost the month after it was minted. (nice finds & SLQ from the other day too!)

HH!

Boy those mercs are pretty coins. Always fun to find, especially in good shape. Congrats.

She is a beauty and that park is an awesome honey hole.

That is a beautiful dime. What did you say the name of that park was?

Skinner Butte Park ~ it became a city park in 1914, but I bet it was being used by the public way before that.

I went back today after work and didn't do so great. I dug another 1952 Nickel and a 1947 Wheat cent, and a few clad dimes. Ron was there when I got there ~ he found a V nickel but we couldn't make out the date in the field. I'm sure he'll take it home, clean it up so we can see the date and post it here.

Nice Merc Neil. Man I have to come down to your parks if you are still finding that stuff!
