✅ SOLVED 1924

Hello everyone,
Found this brass tag last wkend.hard to make out, but has "1924" on front. Kind of a keystone shape, so maybe PA related?
Haven't found a match. I broke off a chunk of brass off the back trying to clean which may of been the fastener??

With 1924 on it my first thought was a souvenir from an event that happened that year or maybe froma high school. Do you still have the chunk that broke off? If so, post a picture. If not, did it look like a lapel pin stud? Looking at that reverse, I notice one end curled, like it's broken off. Also there appears to be some surface rust and flaking. Was a piece of iron or steel in the same hole?

Hi invent4hir, couldn't find the chunk again, but certainly could of been what was left of a lapel stud. There was tons of iron all over and all that gnarly zinc looking crap from the 30s. Honestly, I think the piece is complete, just curled a bit. It's seen better days for sure. My first thought too was " what happened in 1924" ?? Thanks!
