Hello,
Does anyone know anything about this pin? Looks to be from '26. It has what appears to be a 1920s flapper on the front with C H A around it.
It came from my wife's departed grandmother. Any info would be appreciated

Thank you for the fast reply. I should have mentioned she was born in 1915. She would have been 11 in '26. She grew up in Dakota City, Nebraska. She talked quite a bit about Sioux City, Iowa. It looks close to Dakota City on the map. I cannot remember if she went to school in Sioux City.
The camera is charging. I don't remember seeing anything on the back, but I will post a pic of it tomorrow night.
Thanks again for the help!

Women who owned these pins in the very early 20's (FLAPPERS) were experienced CHA-CHA Dancers......Thus members of the CHA Club.

The cha-cha-cha wasn't around until the 1950's.

Her age doesn't really add much. Could be a present from her Great grandmother or another friend / relative. Haven't got my frat pin info with me on this machine. I'll try looking it up for you when I get back. You can start by looking at what universitys colleges etc are in the area she grew up in. THen Google them up adding fraternity in your search. If I don't get back to you by Sat. drop me a PM.

This appears to be a pin from the Catholic Hospital Association, which was founded in 1915. Today it is known as the Catholic Health Association. The Hospital Nurses were in large part sisters of the Catholic Church. The actual training became recognized as a School or Nursing College. The 26 in all probability marked the year of graduation. Not all graduating nurses were Sisters of the Catholic Church.
