Guy that works for me just bought some property with a house built in the late 1800's. Told me to come out and hunt anytime I want, so I got out there this weekend hoping to find some silver and something worthy to post on here. Didn't find any silver, hopefully next time ;D . But I did find this 1926 Purcell MO, Automobile License #52. Cool Relic anyways!!!

Better than silver IMHO -- that a real piece of history! Nice one!

Number 52?!!!
I think you have a better find there than you realize. These were issued sequentially and you just found the 52nd one ever issued in your state. That's a pretty amazing find and automobilia collectors would pay good money for this. Great find!!

I appreciate the comments... Never seen an oval one like this in the USA, a lot were issued in Germany. Looking forward to getting back to the site and see what else is ready to be found.
