1930 S SLQ, 8 Silver Last Couple of Hunts!!

[Captn SE]

Hello Everyone,

I've really enjoyed my past couple of hunts, and wanted to share my finds with you. Today, it was just me and my SE. I went to a park that has been pounded to death, and scored my best Standing Liberty Quarter to date. It's in very good shape; a 1930S. Also found 3 mercs, 1 rosie, and about 15 wheaties, in addition to a 10K gold filled ring with a sterling crown on it. The ring was in the same hole as a '40 wheat; a nice surprise.

On Tuesday, I went out with oknorom (Mike) to hunt an old park in Riverside, and score 3 silvers, about 15 Wheats, and a 1944 rabies vaccination tag.

So, all in all, not a bad couple of hunts.

Thanks for looking,
CAPTN SE
Dan

Dan, how are ya, buddy? You are still kicking some arse! Nice Standing quarter, my friend! Out of all the SE users on this forum, you have the most skill, dude! You find the coins where others have been before! Keep striking it hard!

How many ya at now, buddy? 100?

Keep the passion high!

Dan...the SLQ is SWEET. It seems like there have been quite a few people popping slq's out lately...myself NOT in the group ...yours is one of the nicest I've seen. The one I found last year was worn out w/ no date...but at least I got one. I think there will be some very nice coins pop out this year...although maybe not the same quantity for some. Seems like when we hit a pounded site...we know we have to slow down and listen for the "not so perfect" hit...and that's when the real sweet coins come out. I know my hunt time won't be as much as it was last year...but hopefully I can still find some decent stuff.

Great finds there, CAPN. I especially like the Stander. Probably my favorite coin and yours is very nice.
