The '32 D and S are key dates. Actually, the '32S appears to have lower mint #'s and is slightly more valuble than the D mint.
Melt value is probably now equal to collector value, in VF condition.

the 32-S does have a lower mintage, but the 32-d is more valuable, especially in the higher grades.

Melt value is still nowhere near collector value.
Melt is around $8.75
The lowest price I could find on ebay completed transactions was a 1932-D in G4 that sold for $85, and a 1932-S in VG8 that sold for $115

As far as the 32 w/o mintmark. If it's well circulated, it's worth about the same as a 1964, or any other common date. Not really much of a collector's item, unless it's mint state.

Watch out, there are a lot of fakes out there. Take a very close look.

awesome find!!! just out of curiosity, you do know the mintmark is on the back below the eagle right? keep it up and hh!

Somebody brought one of the fake 1932 S into the store on Pawn Stars. One of Ricks experts determined the S was soldered? on

Yep, I was referring to the '32 no mint mark as only being worth melt in F condition.

The '32S (per 2010 Redbook) lists $200 in F12, and the '32D at $190. In general, values may vary.

Yes it is real because it makes the ringing noise when you drop it. U gotta love the sound of silver. But yes I am aware of the location of the mintmark and it is not there either that or it is well worn off. I looked in the red book and the 1932 quarter held a slight premium above melt value compared to the 64.

It is still a sweet find. Silver quarters from the 30's are usually pretty badly wore, so anything good or better would be a real nice find.
