Hello!

My wife and I took a drive over to Florence on the Oregon coast. We had a great time window shopping at the antique shops and just enjoyed a relaxing day away from home. Before we went to dinner I spent a couple hours detecting at a public park in Florence while my wife read a book. I had never detected at this park before and I didn't know what to expect ~ had it been hunted out? Well, I can say that I'm sure it was hunted many times before, but I was lucky to get over the top of a few good deep targets! I dug plenty of clad, a 1941-S nickel, 5 wheat cents dating from 1944 to 1958, a 1957-D Roosevelt dime, and a 1957-D Franklin Half dollar!

I took a picture of the Franklin half with my cell phone camera just after I dug it. This dime and half are my silver coin finds #22 & #23 for the year.

THANKS for looking!
Neil

Nice '57s. Makes a good day great.!!

Nice BIG silver :icon_thumright: Ben looks pretty good to be almost sixty!!!

Nice day at the coast Neil....Congratulations on
the 2 silvers and especially the Ben Half...it looks
good all cleaned up. It doesn't matter how often
a site is hunted does it...still some sweet targets to be
found by someone. WTG.... now you're one up on
me again, sweet. HH Gold Nuggets :hello:

Nice job Neil. That is a good looking half.

Nice digs. You always seem to have a nose for those sliver coins that is for sure. I see so many posts of etrac finds it makes me wonder if that machine really does have an edge.

THANKS man!

Yeah, I personally think the Minelab detectors have an edge. I used several different detectors over the years ~ then about 5 years ago a guy joined our club, and he was the only Minelab user that I knew. He was killing us on finds on a regular basis ~ going over places that we pounded to death, and he could pull out stuff we missed! I learned on the Explorer SE ~ then went to the Minelab eTrac. Not sure of I'll ever use an other detector, other than what ever Minelab comes up with next!

Nice!! I love those Franklins myself. congrats :hello2:

Nice digs Neil from a park you have not hunted before, 57's rock
