Found this great class ring from Clemson A&M right before they dropped the A&M. Its a US ARMY ROTC Ring. 1963. I am working on finding the original owner. Curious if anyone knows the value of a ring like this with the history that it has. Thanks. It's a 10K Balfour ring. It weighs in at 21 grams. I know what gold is worth so obviously not looking for melt value here.

Whatever its monetary value is I'm sure isn't close to what its worth to its original owner. Nice find, Good luck with the return.

If it has a name I would contact the ROTC department and you might be able to locate the next of kin unless they are still kicking at 76. Whoever owned it would have been commissioned as a 2LT in 1963.

GL on finding the owner... better hurry, he is at least 75 years old now.

That's a really sweet looking ring. Congrats on the find sir.

Found him. Returning it next week in person. Found in Wisconsin but my work has my in Georgia right now so I'm driving it out to Allen, SC to return it to him. He's ecstatic. So am I. Feels really good to reunite someone with something they cared so deeply about. Especially a fellow veteran.

Right around a zinc penny 12-34ish. Sounded a lot like a brass casing.
