I got this tonight when my husband came home from the fire hall. Tuesday's are their bingo nights. Since he is the President of the Fire Co. and Bingo Chairman, he gets to bring the money bag home with him at the end of the night to count the money and get it ready for depositing. This is great for me cause I get to go thru everything and buy it at face value before it goes to the bank ;D I find a lot of "Silver" this way ;)

Sometimes I wonder what these people are thinking when they spend money like this at bingo. A few weeks ago, someone spent a 1934 $20. I wasn't able to get ahold of that one as one of the firemen caught it first and bought it :-\ :'(

Not sure what this is worth if anything, but I have never seen one so I think I'll keep it ;D

I may be wrong but I believe the star indicates it is a bill with a serial number that was reused because the original had been destroyed by the mint. Paper money that is returned to the mint because it is damaged or defaced is destroyed and replaced.

Yes, your right. I was able to find this info but nothing on what the value might be

Star Notes
A star note is a note with a "*" in the prefix or suffix of the serial number. A Star Note is typically used as a replacement for a note found to be defective or otherwise damaged during the printing process to maintain the correct number of notes in a specific print run. Because Star Notes are replacements for errors made in the printing process, they are much more uncommon than "normal" notes, and are therefore popular with collectors.

Its worth something!! I found a $10 bill from the 50's and it had a bend. Put it on Ebay that night and it sold for $15. Your bill looks to be in great condition!! Congrats!
