1966 proof?

I would guess SMS as well. There were no proof sets made in 65-67. Instead the mint sold Special Mint Sets which weren't quite proof quality, but better than business strike.

Prob a 66 Special Mint Set coin - a lot of them look just like proofs - some even have the cameo contrast that proofs have. A lot of nice business strikes appear like SMS coins too, though, and they are hard to tell the difference if the have been in circulation even for a short time. If it has mirror-like surfaces, it is prob an SMS. There is really almost no premium above silver (40%) value unless it's pristine.
