Problem is, you'd be hard pressed to find a person who would pay $.25 for that penny.

Thought they said something about the cent being proof or something like that, guess not .
I do not know who "they" are, but the coin pictured is NOT a proof. At least my trifocal assisted eyes do not see a proof. If I am wrong, I am sure someone will let me know why.
