Hello I am new to this site so I'm not sure if this the correct place for this , but anyway
thanks before hand. I found this penny withe obverse side completely smooth, I would
think that it was sanded but I thought I would ask. It weighs 2.8 as well any thoughts

1st - Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country)...

NOTE: Forum HELP! contains guides tutorials on how to use the new TreasureNet.com software.

Looks like a penny that spent a great deal of time trapped in a washing machine.

not a mint error
