1982 & 1983 Halves(No FG Initials)

I read on "coinrollhunting.com" that the above halves with no "FG" initials on the back are keepers but it did say if they have to be certain mint marks.

I found a 1982-P and a 1983-P with no "FG" initials on the back and wondering if these are keepers are not. Can anyone with more experience answer this? Thanks in advance.

FG are the initials of the designer.

Yes they would be keepers and those are the years to look for, but not sure if the correct mint. They are very tiny and you need to look very close especially if the coin is weakly struck. Here is a photo clearly showing "FG" under the arrow holding leg.

Thanks CyberDan. I will keep them until I find out more about the mint mark. Thanks again.

The Cherrypicker's guide lists a 1972D with no FG as being worth $50 in MS-63. No listings for 82 or 83 though.
