1982 P Dime Error Coin

Today, I went on my very first treasure hunt! It was in coin rolls due to the fact that it was snowing and freezing outside. I came across an error dime minted in 1982 (P) and even though it is an obvious error I still need some more information before I proceed.
(I.e. what type of error, value, where/if to sell... etc.)

I am hoping you guys can help me with that! Thank-you!

If you are going to be getting into searching for errors then here is a term you will get to use a lot. PMD= post mint damage. Which means the damage to the coin happened after it left the mint and therefore is not an error.

yup thats definitely not an error, Keep those eyes open though. they are out there
