Great find. Gas and oil, zippo. Will be interest in this.

Kind of ironic don't you think?

There is an identical one on eBay generating a lot of interest.:icon_thumright:

I've always made a profit on the zippos I got cheap. The collectors of these are all over the world and I even sent one to a buyer who lived on the island of Réunion in the Indian ocean. It got there as he left me a good feed-back. Best profit on a zippo so far was one I paid $8.00 on and sold for $430.00. Lots of info online of the zippo. Good to know what to keep an eye out for. They're money makers if you find them at the right price and there are endless varieties and ages to collect and find out there. I've found them at pawn shops, antique shops, flea markets yard sales and thrift stores. Some are worth a bundle. Always hoping to find one of those.

I used to have a huge collection. I still have a few, but sold most of them. I built that collection buying and selling on ebay. The best buys were often in the wrong category, or misspelled. Now ebay chooses the category for you and auto corrects spelling when searching.

And its against their policy to put it in the wrong category, so they will remove the auction. They are making it harder and harder to find those good deals like that! Misspelled auctions was a goldmine back in the day! Now I need to go back thru my garage sale found Zippos!
