1987

I was wondering if there was any value in 1987 halves. Out of the thousands of dollars that I have looked at I have found only one and was in poor shape. Also the 2002-3-4-5's are rare. I've heard that rolls of 2006 are on the market. What info do you have for me on this?

I think 1987's were not released into circulation.

1970-D, 1987-P, and 1987-D's were only made for mint and uncirculated sets.

2002-2006 halves were only issued to collectors and dealers and have very low mintage #'s... like 2-3 million each compared to 10's of millions for others and 100's of millions for some years.

I have only found 1 1987-D so far, and it had red paint on it. I used to find LOTS of 2002-2005 halves, but that was before I knew to keep them, now it's a rarity to find them, haha, go figure!
