I can't make this out, the "D" appears to be raised or seated over another D or possible S. Any idea's or opinions?

Lol, Scott, it's called boredom.

I use a light at the desk and noticed the D was raised and seemed smudged. Holding the cent at an angle there appears to be a double raised exposure but can't make out what it is. I'll try posting a larger pic.
