Detector(s) used
Ace 250
Ace 250 arrived from KellyCo on Friday, right on time! Nothing but positives in dealing with those folks :)

Watched the DVD instructions, watched Crackbadger's detuning/pinpointing tips, then went out into my yard to mess around. House was built in the 1970's so didn't expect to find much but heres what I got, in less than an hour!

It detects metal lol. Any suggestions on what modes/sensitivity to run in?

Update- went out again and found some bullets and a 1976 Penny- digging big holes though...pinpointing is going to take some practice I guess.

Try coin mode for a while until you get use to the machine,

HH and keep us posted :)

Yes, railroad tracks very close by...seems like there is a very trashy area in my yard that has all of those old nails and that iron plate...

Those rocks also sound on the detector??? Very light rocks.

took me about 5-6 hunts before I could pinpoint with my ace250, now I got it mastered, it pinpoints awesome, great machine!
try this youtube video for pinpoint tips, this helped me a LOT

In North Carolina I call those L I W Y F I--just kidding. try the coin search with a little descrimination.. If you have any coins just keep playing with them with the coil and learn the identification and sounds. For the above initials--Leave it where you found it--It's a Great Hobby-goldnugget-Charlotte,NC

my son has an ace 250 i bought him for Christmas read my last post in regard to his find its under theres gold in them there beaches posted today i will email you a photo of his find.the ace 250 is the BEST

Pinpointing

Even easier than using the pinpointer on the 250..go out and buy one!! Whites makes them for under 100 bux. It will make all the diference in the world!

Kellyco are great people to deal with, got both my minelabs from them, excellent company... Good to see you are learning your machine!

Yep, that's a hunk of a railroad track fastener. Looks like you should turn the discrimination up a notch.

I wouldn't drink that water if it is so highly mineralized that you can find it with a detector! Lol.

Congrats on your finds!
