1st Gen. Lobo Metal Detector Info or Reviews

I just purchased a new 1st Gen Tesoro Lobo metal detector. Tesoro stoped making them in 1996, now they making the Lobo Super TRAQ. I didn't have enough money for a new one, I got this one for $275 on Craiglist. Is it a good machine for gold nugget hunting in the Mojave Desert? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Should be fine. Main difference between that and the super trac is a higher frequency (good for prospecting) and the lack of auto ground tracking, but the manual ground adjustment should be fine as long as it is checked regularly.

Tesoro's New Lobo Metal Detector | Lost Treasure Online - Official Website of Lost Treasure Magazine I think the Super is way better. I don't suggest new comers buy any detector used because it might not run right and you wouldn't know it and waste hours trying to learn something that isn't consistent.
