1st gold ring this year

Got my first gold ring this morning along with quite a few other items. The ring is marked 14k. Anyone know what the stone might be?

It looks like amethyst..but, if you look at it under a good light, and see any yellow at all in it...its ametrine.. combo of amethyst and citrine.
