I just acquired a new detector, well new to me, from lucky1777. It's a Tesoro Cibola and boy is it a sweetheart.

Well, I got a little chance to take the new detector out for a spin. Went to an area where I could get a feel for the sound and capabilities. Dug some mems and a bit of clad. Then just a bit before dark, I took it to an area that has been hunted so much that no one goes there anymore. I only found one coin before the sun went down. Here's a couple of pics. 1901 IH with practically full liberty.

Good stuff Stoney!! I love my Cibola ,you can hunt all day long with at 2.2 pounds. :) I bought mine for a back up but I us it just as much as my CZ. Both are good machines.

birdman, after using it I picked up the 1236X2 again and had no problem keeping the coil flat on the ground. ;) Boy did that Fisher feel heavy. LOL

Thanks you all! Once I get a bit more time behind the wheel, we'll post a field test. Thanks and HH!

Congratulations on the Indian Head penny,I never get tired of looking at them! :)
