1st S-Clad Ike

found 13 Ikes at lunch and found my first copper-nickel clad proof 1973-S that has some sticky crap on it, but looks in good shape. I know it has a low mintage right under 3,000,000. Is it worth more than a buck?

To the right buyer it probably is, but not to me.

Here's why: the entire proof set - unimpaired - can be bought very cheaply. Why anyone would pay a premium for an impaired proof when the whole still sealed proof set can be bought very inexpensively is beyond me.

People never fail to amaze me. You might find someone that would pay $5 for it...even though with a little shopping around, an entire 1973 proof set can be bought for around $5.
