There is/was nothing like being in your mid 20's in the 1970's, this song is the heart of the 1970's, full of imagination, the optimism and enthusiasm was never ending. Women looked so beautiful, everywhere folks were smiling, people were reliable and true, things and time were ruff and tuff but there was so much Hope... I knew Life was gonna be all-right... Besides, I was a New Yorker then

I appreciate the disco era, as it made me turn back to country and the blues. Some disco was listenable and I have a disco CD somewhere, just as a representative sample. A lot of it had a contrived sound and feel to it, probably because everybody was jumping on the disco bandwagon. Some could pull it off, and others couldn't.
