And oh yeah, thanks SRV :hello: I was laughing to myself about your crawling around on your elbows and knees in a bizzard, or something like that, and thought I'd give it a try. Well, it works! I've searched this sandbar many times, but not found a whole point yet. and the cows had trampled it, I think that helped. First pic shows the comrade the cows left behind. Kinda freaked me out a little, but he kept real still, so I ignored him. The first insitu I had brushed the sand away, because this material is strange to me, when I saw the outline I snapped a pic. Moved around from spot to spot, yes, on my knees ;D, and saw the second one in a cow track. It's nice. Knapped well I think. Two look alike, but are very different in craftsmanship. Got a handful of flakes too. Nice for an hour's hunt. Darl? Gary? fer sure they are constricting base points

Steve V is alright  I may have to try some crawling in snakeless seasons :tongue3: You found some nice ones but whats with the cow?

I usually do sit down and look, but this sandbar just lends itself to crawling around, all sand, no brush for snakes. The cow was dead, not sure why, didn't really want to look to close. I posted the wrong picture, this pic shows the nice flaking.

thanks peachy!

Well they are just gorgeous. Really nice work on them. Isn't finding points the best fun EVER!!! I just love it :hello2:

Great day there ng, well I guess that cow didn't have a great one. Two quality stemmed pieces for sure. Congrats.

I pride myself in being able to see poits pretty good but I have tried creek walking and just cannot find any points. They say the points are usually better as a plow has not hit them. Those are very nice finds!!!!

That 2nd point is a very nice point. Gary seems like a reasonable type for it. Good size, good workmanship, good condition. Great find.

That cow has major rigor-mortice! :tongue3:
Very nice points, Lisa :wav: .
The look like Gary's to me, too. (But there is also Gary Dickson's and Standlee's that fit in with that type, too---I need to figure out the difference :icon_scratch: .)
I would have been crawling around on my hands and knees, too  .

Carmon~~

Dickson! not Darl, I knew there was a "D" word. standlee is a new one for me. I hope to go back out there this weekend, but I'm not looking forward to the cow's company so much.....

Thanks for the replys everyone!

(and i think i should have said contracting, not constricting)

I was gonna say Gary also but twitch beat me to it...lol. Nice finds ng....goat
