got rained out from work late in the day so i hit a close spot ive hit twice, decided to venture away from the cellar hole, found an iron patch along a small creek about 2 hundred yards from the hole and the targets didnt stop for 2 hrs.......my best hunt of the year and i needed it ive only been getting out like once a month this year just too busy, anyway one of the coppers is 100% roached and the other has me stumped, def says commerce, and i can make out hook or cook the date in the center could possibly be 1776, and the other side has 2 angels at top with a small eagle centered between them the pics are ok ill try to take some more, any help would be great.....thanx (the stuff on the other napkin was my last hunt)

Wow sweet finds, do you think your first pic is a remnant of an old lock?

Fantastic finds. Anxious to see what the unidentified coin turns out to be.

Shame about the condition of the coppers. I bet that if you used a dry brush or toothpick, they'd turn out better than using water to clean them. The lock really looks like a railroad lock.

Best Wishes,

Buck

Looked at the pics again you got two really nice buckles, I found one of those tiny Garter buckles before.

There are some varieties of that token, but differences small, and values about same.

That's a killer hunt Matty and you're prob chomping at the bit to get back there. Congrats on some nice finds and good luck on your next adventure. I hope you're able to get out more. I feel your pain...stupid work lol

Nice digs and thanks for those pictures

Nice finds you gotta love when you hit a spot with that many good signals. I've hit a couple good sites by venturing off from the one I'd been hunting just hoping to get some garden drops or something and run into another site. HH!

Funny, I wasn't able to see the date at all, at first, but now it seem quite plain in pics 12 and 13. The top of the second 1 is quite big, looking much like a 7
