The water has been really rough lately and the beach is really sanded in but I went out and got my * handed to me. Until I was getting ready to leave I had only found a quarter which was partially covered in sand on the dry side and was technically an eyeball find. I was finding a couple pull tabs in the surf and got a pretty good signal. Low and behold in the bottom of the scoop I saw that pretty glint of gold!!! ;D
Got it home and under the loup inside the band I saw 14K, ohhh yea!!! ;D ;D
The crown looked like a coin and I examined it more closely and saw that it was a Chinese coin with a Panda. At the base I saw the beautiful .999. Pure gold baby. It is the 1985 5 Yuan Panda coin. 1/20th OZ AU. ;D ;D ;D It's small but I'll take it. Ring #73 :D :D and my first gold coin :headbang:. Pictured is the full 1 OZ coin but besides the size they are identical. My pics don't do it justice. The gal who wore this ring must have rubbed it all day every day for luck. It is VERY worn. Thanks for looking and good luck out there.
