For those who saw Washingtonian’s post, it’s pretty spot on. Within the first 30 minutes of detecting, I had already found 3 silvers (2 mercs and a Rosie), 4 wheats, my first IHP, and my first V nickel. The spot I was hitting was untouched and proving it.
Of course, being the kind and thoughtful gentleman that I am, I generously passed a nice high Barber dime tone and let Eric get it, as a sign of respect and offering for my elder.
Only joking of course, I was super stoked that he had a solid day as well- it’s much more fun detecting when everyone is getting good finds.
All in all, it was the best hunt I’ve had so far in my metal detecting career.
Totals were:
3 silver dimes (1951-S, 1936-S, 1920)
7 wheats (1929-S, 1930-S, 1944-S x2, 1944, 1951-S, 1955-D)
1 Indian (1903)
1 V Nickel (1892 I believe)
And this potential military button that I posted over on “What is it?”
Cheers!
