2 hour hunt-Found ONLY 4 coins but they were a total of 37" DEEP...NO BULL

I had close to 2 hours before all the rain hit... AGAIN. I hate hunting in muck but I know I will have limited hunt time this year as compared to last. I hit my same beat to death site to try and scare some wheaties or silver out of the ground. Sometimes this site won't even give up a wheatie in 3 hours

...but other times I pop a couple out. I hit a section that I can never hunt...mainly because even IF you get a signal...you can't dig it anyway because it's like concrete. It truly turns to pretty much cement all through summer because it's a gravel/sand/dirt/muck soil combo that hardens to cement....nice huh? :icon_sunny:

Anyway...it was diggable because of all the rain...which just won't stop. Signals were almost non existent...and when I got one...it was DEEP ...and a one way hit.
BOTH wheaties were an honest 10" down and I did measure them. I have never found two coins from that depth before in the same hunt. The 2 silvers came in the last 45 minutes of the 2 hours... and the merc came from an honest 9" :thumbsup:

..and the Roosey came from 8". In two hours I dug ONLY these 4 coins...but NO BULL...they came from a combined depth of 37" for the four. 10"...10"...9"...8". I will take a hunt like that any day of the week. :thumbsup:

I know 2 silvers and two wheaties are not much to brag about to most of you...but man were they deep.

Hey Bryce, this is Gregory, Santa Fe talkin to you, I believe you do have braggin rights with a merc, a

rosie and two wheaties and at those depths !!! you are the man ! I'm currently hunting with the MXT, and

a 6x9 DD coil - I think i'm getting very interested in these excellerator coils. Any suggestions you might have

concerning size or shape of these coils would be welcome indeed. thank you and blessings on your future

Thanks Derek. I am just going to try and get an hour in here and there. I'm even going to sacrifice Harley ridin' time to get in detectin' time if I can.

Thanks BB. Yes...the gravel s*cks. I have always wanted to hit that area...but in the summer it just can't be done. I did dig one wheatie one time and it took over 45 minutes just on that one hole. :dontknow:

Wow, those 1-2 hr hunts for you are very productive. I hope to get that good too someday. Do you run in conduct? I have tried it hard, but can't get used to it, ferrous has produced more for me. Also do you use iron mask. Sorry for all the questions, still learning.

Thanks Nat. The only thing I can think of is that they dumped a layer of gravel to make a driveway at one time. Somehow it all turned to a gravel/muck/sand/soil mix...yuk. Unless we've had a ton of rain...you need a pic axe to chisel away at it.

Thanks Gregory. I'm sure a lot of people find coins much deeper than I do...but for my soil in this area..and the sites I hunt...these coins were very deep. I'll send you a private message about the excelerator coils. Take care bud.
