the first 2 sisters living at the house
had the Initials I.A. but the H doesn't fit yet.
My nephew is working in placing the H in order to be sure.
one of them may have been married twice.

in spite of the Ground Being Bone dry & Turning to Dust when I dug.
and the temps being back in the upper 80's.
I'm Looking forward to another Hunt here.

Nice time with some Kin. I'm willing to bet there's more in there. Do you guys have plans to return?

Absolutely. The main area we hunted will be untouched for a few more months until we tear Down the buildings. After that we don't plan to alter much more up there. The back 4.5acres, however, will be farmed and turned into wildlife habitat but I don't think we would be doing much detecting back there anyway as it's loaded with tons and tons of large scrap metal dumps.

Jeff, I really enjoy going through your posts. Your pictures make yearn to hunt.Great finds ,but your area is certainly cruel to LINCOLNS.

Lots of ground there Jeff, the wheats are a good omen...I see a LOT of old coppers,. silvers and a ton of relics waiting to see light of day...loved the aerial pics, thx..ddf

I think it's the Pine Trees sap that eats the copper.
seems all the areas with pine trees around here produce toasted wheaties.

maybe it is eating the silver coins Completely too :laughing7:
Gotta blame something :tongue3:

thanks all for looking , and your comments

I love all your "Post Toasties". :tongue3:

MAN KINDA REMINDS ME OF MY OLE HOME PLACE , I MEAN WERE MY LONG LOST REALITIVES LIVED. NICE FINDS .

Do you know the prior owners (or does your nephew)? I used to hunt people down when I worked in real estate law, depending on what's available online in the county, I could try to help out...

Thanks for the offer! I actually knew the previous owner for 8yrs, but he recently passed, which is how we came to purchase the property. I talked with him often and got some info back then. I now talk with his brother and another neighbor who has been in the valley his entire 89yrs. We have some good info on the family and the property and there is reason to believe there is more here, much more. Its just that 40+yrs of blacksmith shop work and metal scrapping has happened on top of the ground where there may be a small fortune buried. I currently don't own a backhoe, but may have to consider it to dig down and try to find it LOL. We are going to tear the house down slowly and carefully, checking under every floorboard and behind every wall...........from what we hear, it will be time well spent if we find what we are looking for ;)

I like the pictures, I wish more people would show the area they are detecting for the day. (Unless its a big secret)8-)

I regret I missed a few angles with The outhouses :laughing7:
and From the front, Rear & West side .
But it gives me more Potential shots for next time :tongue3:

Nice finds. From the photos and the wheats you've found, this ground holds a lot of promise. Congrats on the finds, and best of luck as you continue to explore some new ground!
