2 hour hunt yeilds a nice US BOX PLATE

Had a little time this afternoon and headed to the field to do some swinging , scored one round ball and a cut williams cleaner looks like it was cut with a knife pretty smooth. I noticed a spot where ussually there is water standing and today it was empty for the first time in two years . The ground was moist but good enough to walk on , as I started towards the center I hit this faint irony sound with the bouncy high pitch of a 81 on the vdi so I decided to check it out and sure am glad I did , it was down a good 14 inch's in the ground. Thanks everyone for the kind words , I am glad I had my cell phone with me to record it , becuase it is pretty cool when you dont know exactly what it is but you know its something good and watching it released from the earth after laying in the ground for a 150 years is pretty cool ...

Loved the video, great recovery. It brought back memories for me. I was lucky enough to dig a box plate at 12" in a yard several years back. It was an iffy signal, and I can't tell you how close I was to giving up on that hole and walking away!
