Howdy All. Got out for an hour 2 times this wk to my new favorite site...the old same place...a 1920's era grocery store/orange grove, and the diggin' was easy.

Dug some OK by me items.

I don't know what the odd shaped brass badge-like thing is, any ideas??

Scored my third silver half...it's a bit toasty but I am still stoked!

Thanks for the view...keep your coil low and your expectations high. C9

Nice silver! Maybe some one will know what the badge thing is, you may want to post it on the what's it forum.

I like the half. Is that a 1914-D Lincoln?

Awesome silvers

Awesome, I am still waiting for my first silver half in the wild.

Steven

Nice half! Just got my first silver half a few days ago (58 Franklin). Gotta love that feeling when you first see something like that in the hole! Congrats!

Those would be OK items by me too. Good hunt:icon_thumleft:

Hello thrillathahunt. Thanks for the reply. Nope, sadly the '14 does not have a MM, the Red Book says it's only worth 75-cents in "Good" condition...that's more than most wheats I guess.

I did dig this '21 merc there a few days before though...key date...too bad it's toast. HH C9

Nice finds, I dug a smaller version of the same medal the other day!

Your "badge" is half of a ladies sash buckle...........more nice finds!

very cool finds. I think the unknown item is part of a woman's sash buckle that dates to the art nouveau period (1890-1910)

Hello fellow finders. Thanks for very much for all the great replies.

Went back again today and netted more silver and several nice relics. Got my first old foriegn coin too. Too tired to post my finds tonite though...tomorrow.

Keep your coil low and your hopes high. HH C9
