So I have been watching this yard sale's ads for a week. I saw some corning ware I wanted which led me to the idea to run all the guy's pictures of stuff through AI (Chat GPT). AI literally found all the valuable stuff, told me what to offer for it, how much to sell it for.
The sale was about 40 mins away and started at 7am. I left at 5:15 so I could stop at the ATM to grab cash, then head down. I got there at about 6:15 and there was already one person there and another pulling up waiting in their cars.
The woman pulled open the garage door and we all ran in. There was a table of jewelry and that's where the other 2 guys ran to, but I already knew every single piece I wanted. The deals were otherworldly. Vintage sunbeam mixer in amazing condition for $20, 2 polish hand made bowls for $10 for both (they sell on Ebay for $100 each), a MOUNTAIN of vintage corning ware for $80, I'll get over $600 from it, Nutcrackers that sell for over $100 were only $5, and just a multitude of beautiful vintage things that look like they were stored in a museum. I spent about $160 and stand to make about $1,200-$1,500
I actually had plans to go to 4 other yard sales today but was so thrilled I raced all the way home to offload it all.
Here is where it gets amazing.
My girlfriend wanted to go to Goodwill to look at stuff. As Im walking down the aisle I spy with my little eye some candle holders. I'm like hmmm, that looks like 925. Sure enough they had covered up the stamp with a price tag. Then I look in the next isle, freaking 925 candy dish. I paid $6 for all 3. Get home all 3 test red on the stone. I crack them open, dump out the filler. Total 6.7 ounces About $500.
Some days everything just lines right up!@
