I met with TnT200, MarkG, and JohnnyMc at the new site that has produced so many fantastic finds for all of us over the last week and I got my First 3 center - 1857 in excellent condition, and My First Shield nickel. The nickel is extremely worn so I don't have a date but it has the rays between the stars so I know it is a variety 1 - 1866 or 1867. I also got a 1917 Merc - pretty worn, and an 1880 Indian with a little corrosion, and another small Infantry button that says "Extra Quality" on the back.
I took a few pics before and after cleaning only because one of my hunting partners was challenged as to the condition of one of the coins that he dug being "Too Nice" to be a dug coin. With the phenomenal amount of coins and relics that have come out of this site, I find it hard to believe that it would be necessary to "Fabricate" any finds. So if the one person that doesn't believe the finds, the before and after pics are for you.
Thank god This forum is "LOADED" with fantastic people.
Thanks for looking
