I usually leave the Mercs and keep the Roseys for trading; most people don't see a significant difference between a silver and a clad Rosey, so it doesn't mean as much to them. A Merc, on the other hand, is obviously different. When I get a roll of Roseys, I trade for coins I really want. Except for the 16D and the 21's, I have two full sets of Mercs, so they make perfect thank you gifts.

You actually give the neighbors the coins? What is the reason for obtaining permission then to detect it, dude? When my club gets permission, we keep the coins. I would have cried to have given away my Colonials. Scrap that, dude, but I guess others are different.
