my last 2 hunts at different cellar hole sites produced these 2 large cents.one from each site.got real lucky on the 1827.was close to a rotted stump and soil conditions must have been perfect.The 1803 looks to have some planchet flaws.

Just curious is that a die mark on your 1803 LC that goes from beside the Y in Liberty then acrossed the face?

yes it is.also a depression or clash mark at the 7 o'clock position as well.i don't know if they are planchet flaws or damage when the coin was struck at mint?
