2 of my first 3 boxes of halves down...

So I just picked up my first three boxes from the bank today, called and ordered them Monday.

They are all Machine rolled. A lot of them have a scratch through the face of the coin, almost like someone went through them previously and opened them with a box cutter...

Anyway my first 2 boxes have yielded 3 x 40% coins.

Funny I actually got so into it that I just let my newly delivered APMEX order just sit on the sidelines!

So box #3 was a complete skunk... I was a little surprised to see a 2011 in it though.

I have 2 more boxes ordered from another bank that I should have next Thursday.

Time to go pay my mortgage with these 3 boxes!

I ordered a roll of 25 Canadian Silver Timber Wolf coins and 5 1oz Sunshine Mint bars. I had been waiting for spot to dip a tiny bit and the second it did Provident Metals raised their premium on the Timber Wolf coins, otherwise I'd have ordered from them. The Sunshine bars I got just because I was already paying for the s/h so I figured I might as well....

I also just got a great deal on 2 rolls of Canadian Grizzly Bear coins, but they probably won't be shipped for another 2 weeks (group buy on another forum).

what do you think of Sunshine mint (and APMEX, for that matter)? I have been skulking around on APMEX's site for a while now - and cursing myself for being sucha cheap bastard 2 years ago when I was looking to buy Palladium bars and didnt want to pay the 5% commission, when it was $189/oz - but I like the look of the Sunshine bars and was going to make those the ones I buy when I do. Kinda been waiting for Ag to get back to $30 before I buy, though I realize I may be waiting forever.

You had a good experiece with APMEX? And you like Sunshine? Oh yeah, and why 5 1oz instead of one 5oz?

We should do that here also.. on RealCent they always arrange for group buys and they get it for great prices.

APMEX is ok - not great - just ok. I have ordered 2X from them, first order was WAY bigger. I've ordered from 4 different companies at this point and APMEX is by far the slowest to ship. The three I use to price shop most are Gainesville Coins, Provident Metals and APMEX. I like Gainesville's one price for all model rather than APMEX and PM's "as low as" model. I like APMEX and PM for smaller orders though because I can mail them a money order instead of having to pay surcharges for credit card like at Gainesville.

As for the Sunshine bar, it's way way way prettier than all of my other bars. Though if you're looking for a pretty bar you should check out Scottsdale Silver. I really like the look of theirs an will eventually order some.
