Left button is the symbol for ordnance,Could be Military?

Yeah, I'd say military. It's the flaming bomb. That symbol was used on some guns made around WWII. Like on the barrell of a 1903-A3 springfield.

I was just going thru my wife's box of buttons that she got from her mother and found the exact same button (on the right) as you have pictured. I did a language translation on the text "Seehalde gott walte" and it came up as being Scots, if that is of any help. Not any free online language translators that do Scots or even Ulster Scots as far as i could find this evening. I would love to find out more on it myself.
