5 cent silver seem hard to come across, I'm sure lots were lost, but maybe they sink out of range, and on edge don't make much of a signal ?
Anyway was out in some drizzel was just enough moisture to keep you cool, not enough to get you wet. Kind of nice for a change seems it has been hot and sticky for ever.
I was detecting along a tree line and saw a piece of glass, a couple of steps further along get the first decent signal, and it turns out to be a sweet 5 cent silver. I don't rub silver in the field so I didn't know the date at the time but it was a Geo V. Made the turn for another pass, and when I got to about the same spot I get another, this one, an Edward. Two silvers...now I am excited imagining all the silvers I am about to find. Well that didn't happen, and two silvers was all she wrote, but did get an 1870's indian shortly there after. I will to clean it up a bit. Most of the 70's are scarce dates. so we'll see.
This is the first, and second 5 cent silver of the year. 1907, and 1911 always happy to find one.
