I tried to post this and lost it somehow...A friend of mine won this coin on a
tip board or something and brought it to work.....Said he'd take 10 dollars for it. I told him I'd take it off his hands......It's a once of silver and I know silver is about 12 dollars and ounce now, so it was sure worth that much at least.....
Is it a limited production, or worth anything??? should I sell or keep it??? I have never bought a coin in my life...I just keep what I find detecting, I know I didn't dig this, but it is nice to look at........

Nice coin, The US Mint produces these for sale yearly. They produce them proof coins as well. They do keep there value. Check your current coin value magazines for prices, HH Art...

Its an american eagle bullion coin. Some dates and strikes have numismatic value. It will always carry its silver content value which is 1 ounce of .999 fine silver. You didnt get hurt by giving $10 for it.Hang on to it as silver and gold are on the rise,so will it.

I'd try to find out how many of these coins were created. That will tell you it's collector value.

Either way, keep it, and NEVER take it out of the plastic casing. Ever.

Wouldn't hurt to get it graded also. It increases the value.
