2011 field finds

Need help with the double fluted piece in pic 1&2. Have never found anything that looked like this. Is it a strike off a core or is it a tool or rough scraper. Pic 5 has a few heartbreakers. All was found this week in an old tobacco patch in KY

Thanks Viking I have seen alot of spent cores in this field and had never seen a piece that had the 2 grooves running down the middle before I am not a wood worker but it almost looks like one of the chisels they use

Nice looking Ky. finds. To me that piece looks like a tool with previous strikes or flakes removed. The overall shape and the way it's been worked to a bit make me think it's a possible adz or similar tool. Modified core is another possibility I think. Just my guess from those pics. Too bad about that Motley and Big Sandy / Graham Cave
