THanks D-Dub! It's not like there's more silver here in Southern Illinois, There's really not. There are a lot of detectorists down here I have to compete with. The one thing I try to do when I'm at a site is try to avoid the obvious places. you know, like at an old school avoid the front walk, or even the entire front area as it's usually the first place that gets hit. I try to think "Outside the box" for instance, yesterday I imagined if I was going to school at the old school I was hunting where would I play? I would want to be away from the teacher watching me, and also near enough to be able to sneak behind the building for a smoke. LOL!! It paid off for me yesterday. And sure enough wghen I got home last night and looked at the 1938 Aerial photos of the site the area I hunted showed a lot of activity back in the day. The front did not show nearly as much activity as the area I hunted. sometimes Intuition pays off. As Obi-Wan Kenobi Said "Trust your feelings" Sometimes I even close my eyes and just slow down and swing. it's amazing how you can get into a "zone" and just walk right to the good stuff. anyway, Thanks again, and are you going to be at the "Field of Fools" Hunt next week? if so, I hope we all have 30 Silver Days(All seated and capped bust) all three days! LOL!!!
