2012 prospecting trip

I am planning a 60 day gold prospecting trip for next year. I am looking for 1 or more people to join me. I live in Michigan and was thinking of going out west. Could camp,use motels or both, I'm open for ideas on where we go and all details. I have a compact car so if you have a pickup or SUV, 4wd would be great and we take your vehicle I would be willing to pay for all the gas. I'm already out West, just curious on what type of equipment your bringing or are you planning on using equipment from someone when you get there?
