Now that the new coins for 2014 have arrived within all demoniations, does anyone know for sure if there are any oddities (varieties OR errors) in cents, nickels, dimes, quarters, & halves, that we should all be watching for while they can still be collected in BU rolls/boxes. Your comments.

There is a 2014 cent with major doubling on the obverse.

In a traditional sense the doubling is far from major I doubt most people could spot it with the naked eye but I do agree it is significant for a modern coin. I have read about a couple of these double dies on modern cents and cant help but think they are going to get passed up by collectors, first and foremost i don't think the TPGs have began to recognize them. Whats your take on them enamel7?

They do recognize them and some will grade them as such. The 2011p is so dramatic it is visible by most people without a loupe. The 2014p is said to be just as dramatic. I haven't seen a good picture of it yet but I'm sure Coppercoins may have it up.

I picked up a few boxes and will be doing some searching this week.
